Mission and Vision
In agreement with the IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society (ITSS) mission and vision, the main objectives of the Chapter of Gujarat Section are the creation of a collaborative environment for community growth and networking which aims to bring together professionals, researchers, and enthusiasts who share a common interest in the domain of ITS. The chapter places a strong emphasis on knowledge exchange and learning, aspiring to create a space where members can discuss the latest trends, research findings, and practical applications in the field. To achieve this, the chapter will organize a series of events, workshops, and seminars designed to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and continuous learning. The chapter is dedicated to promoting innovation and research within the ITS landscape. This objective involves providing a dedicated space for innovators to showcase their work, exchange ideas, and collaborate on pioneering solutions to address transportation challenges.
The chapter aims to bring together the community of academicians, industry professionals and practitioners, and government officials who share interests in the domain of ITS for developing futuristic ITS applications. For the beginners and students, the chapter activities will be useful in acquiring basic knowledge of enabling technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Learning (ML), Robotics, Communication and Control, etc. For the practitioners, industry professionals and researchers, it will provide a discussion forum concerning all the aspects of designing and developing an ecosystem for designing ITS solutions focused on the local needs.
